A sincere thank you to Prof. Carol Hsu from The University of Sydney Business School for hosting an illuminating research seminar on "Knowledge Mobilization for Digital Development," organized by HKBU Research and Hong Kong Baptist University on 10 July 2026.

Drawing on a fascinating 10-year longitudinal case study, Prof. Hsu walked us through the complexities of scaling digital health programs across resource-asymmetric contexts. She unpacked how mobilizing knowledge across boundaries isn't just a simple linear transfer, but rather a "sedimentation" process where translation and transformation accumulate and co-exist.

A true highlight of our session was diving deep into the powerful role of storytelling. While rigorous theoretical frameworks like boundary reconfiguration are vital to our work in the information systems discipline, it was incredibly insightful to discuss how crafting compelling narratives remains essential for demonstrating the critical situation and scientific findings regarding the digital and knowledge development of resource-constrained communities.
